      Q. Why does my water source to the ice machine continue to run and the ice machine is not producing ice?

      • A. The unit may need to be cleaned. Please follow the instructions in the user manual.

      Q. My undercounter ice machine won't run. What is wrong with it?

      • A. Your static bin control may need to be adjusted. The static bin control shuts the machine off when the bin fills with ice.

      Q. How do I determine if the Static Bin Control needs to be adjusted?

      • A. First, locate the bin thermostat sensor. The bin thermostat sensor is located below the evaporator (the evaporator is where the ice forms). Locate the brass rod/tube, clean it with a manageable hot to warm water cloth. If the machine comes on, adjust the bin stat.

      Q. Where can I find the model and serial number on my machine?

      • A. Self-contained ice machines and modular ice machines, the serial number is located on the side of the unit. As seen here.
      • A. The MIM50 serial number can be located on the lower front internal ice bin, as seen here.
      • A. The MIM25 serial number is located on the backside of the ice machine

      Q. Can I attach a water softener to my ice machine?

      • A. It is not recommended because a water softener adds salinity to the water raising the freezing point. Raising the freeze point will cause the machine to produce ice slower and causes the ice to become a wet and a slushie consistency.
